An Early Childhood Development Practitioner plans and prepares early childhood activities, facilitates, and mediates learning.

Observes and assesses the progress of children. Reflects on learning in an inclusive, play-based environment to support the holistic development of children. (From conception – school going) in different centre-based or non-centre-based settings.

The course duration is 12 months including theory, practical and workplace experience components. Sediba gives the opportunity to its students to complete the practical as well as the workplace experience on site at Sediba Academy. Learner will complete a Portfolio of Evidence consisting of formative, summative assessments, and will write an External Assessment under ETDP Seta, Certificate is issued by QCTO.

Training Assessor

The role of the assessor is to formally assess the skills and competence of staff within an organisation. This is done through building a portfolio of evidence that is related to the learners’ daily work and meeting the requirements of the NQF.

You will explore the process of planning, conducting, and reporting through the tricky skills of fair assessment. Course duration is 3-4 days, the learner will be assessed by formative, summative and practical assessment. The learner will receive his/her Statement of Results from ETDP Seta once found competent.
Training Facilitator

A training facilitator is a person who has good listening and communication skills and who can lead and guide people through a set of learning materials to ensure they get the most out of the content, benefit from each other's knowledge and develop confidence in using new skills and knowledge in the workplace.

This course is a 3–4-day course which include theory, formative, summative and practical assessment, and Portfolio of Evidence building to be found competent.

Moderator Course

The purpose of this programme is to equip potential moderators with the necessary knowledge, skills and attitudes to conduct assessments within their fields of expertise in line with the Criteria for the Registration of Moderators

Training and Development Practitioner
Foundational Learning Competency

Foundational Learning Competence (FLC) is designed to enable the learner to access further qualifications, be more efficient and able to work and engage better in real-life situations by establishing a proper Foundational in their abilities to communicate efficiently and calculate, think critically, and solve problems in their everyday life, both at work and at home.

FLC course duration is 4 months, consisting of two subjects, maths literacy and communication.

Learners have a workbook to be completed during course, formative and summative assessments.

At the end of the course an external exam takes place under IEB, Statement of results are issued under IEB.
